Coastal Inn was the cheapest room we found and for the price it was perfect. The room however was simple, the beds were not the best and the entire room was clearly worn. The worst part of the hole vacation was the room smelled of musty cigerette smoke. Customer service was excellent and the lady at front desk did any and everything we asked of. I would recomend this establishment for young couples on a price budget looking for a weekend getaway. There are no closets, and no cooking amenities, so I would recommend families to find a bigger place if staying for more then a couple days.[collapse]Submitted by Matt S., Maryland, on September 10, 2009.

I have stayed in worse!!!! Overall it was good for the money, beds were very uncomfortable but rooms were spacious. It is in a very convient location and as long as I wasn't bringing my children I would stay there again.

Pictures on the website showed something entirely different than what I saw from the room. I will never stay there again. They overcharged for the room, definitely not my money's worth. My family and I were very disappointed.[collapse]Submitted by Pamela B., New York, on July 16, 2009.

It was like going back to the 1960's-70's era. ("No tell motel"). The carpet and furniture looked as though it was purchased literally from a garage sell...? The door lock and actual metal keys were hard to open/use, and anyone could come along and open the door (and did) if you did phycially lock it behind you - security was terrible! The beds were small and wrapped in plastic just below the thin sheet - very icky for lack of a better word. The furniture was from the 60's faded and worn, the paneling and trim(well worn with dry bare finished spots). The telephone literally had no numbers to call i.e. office, or housekeeping, etc. The toilet paper roll holder was VERY rusty and broken (we fixed it to be able to use). The toilet had to be flushed and held down to flush properly. The curtain and window were dirty. The sink drain was very slow, so you could only use it with a low dizzle. The office was closed several times during the day and was closed when we left at 8 am in the morning. Although close to the beach (2 blocks) was at the far end of the beach and involved walking a great distance for amenities and restrooms. It had a pool but we did not use it. We stayed in various hotel's to name a couple in Atlantic City and DC throughout the week - all at comparible prices, ALL of which were extremely better in comparision. For a family on vacation, we expect a cleaner, more secure, and updated accomodations for the price that we paid!
Thank you
