But the bartender at the restaurant inside HJ hotel almost ruined our stay. @ about 5PM on the 2nd of September I sat on the bar while my husband went to use the restroom. I was ready to order our drinks, but she did not even look at me. Then my husband came back to find out she didn’t bother to ask me if I wanted anything. She continued to totally ignore us. She served a couple that came later. My husband was ready to just get up and leave…I insisted on staying getting my drink. I said can we please get some service? She had the nerve to tell me that she thought I was waiting!!! Waiting for what? She should acknowledge my presence. How about the long wait since my husband got back? We could have understood if she was busy, but she only had about 4 couples including us. We had planed to eat dinner there that night, but after that experience we decided not to bother. I hate to use the race card but that was definitely a racist treatment. We liked staying on the boardwalk,the parking was great,unlike some lots at the beach.We liked having a safe in the room. We had a great stay there. No complaints.
