Our rooms come standard with two double beds, air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, full bathroom and a private balcony. Upper floors also come with a microwave, sleeper sofa and a direct or side view of the ocean. Can sleep 4 - 6 people.

We enjoyed the room and the weekend but were disappointed by the maid/linen service. when we arrived there were no towels. We contacted the desk and the indicated they would soon arrive. At 10:00 PM we still had no towels and the guy at the front desk seemed miffed that ones had to be delivered. He brought us towels but we never had fresh towels after that. Ironically there was an envelope for maid service but we were perplexed as to why. Perhaps the service is not provided at this time of year but if so it should have been posted.

I wouldnt stay here again

We had no hot water for a day until we moved to another room when the next person at the reception desk came in. The inside of the room has new furnature but the ceiling tiles have rust on them and the rugs are very stained and old looking. The remote for the TV did not work in either room. On the outside of the door the paint is peeling off. The pool is extremely tiny and is right on the coastal highway which makes it windy and noisy from passing vehicles.

The rooms are so big! We loved taking our pet with us. Lots of space to walk the dog. Very friendly staff. Lots of shops nearby to walk to.

Memorial Day Get Away

I was reallly disappointed that there was NO room service, which was mentioned under Amenities. Also, the pool was extremely small. There was no iron/ironing board and the carpet was filthy. On the positive side, the rooms are really spacious and I enjoyed the view of the Ocean even though it was limited. There are alot of great places to eat on this end of town, but if you are interested in the boardwalk, get ready for quite a long ride it's at least 94 blocks, best way to travel is the BUS! The restaurant didn't have alot of choices, and was alittle costly. It's not a bad place to stay if you're on a budget.

"An honest mistake was made by us and we sincerely apologize for our incorrect listing. We accidentally mistook " Room Service " to mean daily housekeeping. We definitely DO have daily room cleaning. We have our carpets professionally cleaned several times a year. The next scheduled cleaning is June 15. We would have been more than happy to accommodate our guest's request for another room if we had received such a request.

All of our guests thus far are very pleased with our pool and how neat and clean we keep our common grounds.

Although a restaurant is located on our property ( The Crab Cake Factory ), it is in no way affiliated with the hotel. The Serene Hotel management and ownership has zero ownership interests or authority in the decisions that are made with the operation of the restaurant.

We do agree that the best way to get around town is the BUS !!!!"
