Disgusting and Unacceptable Stay - Spinnaker Hotel, Ocean City, MD Our recent stay at the Spinnaker Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland, was an utterly appalling and unsanitary experience that I feel compelled to share. Upon checking into our room, we were met with a truly shocking discovery: the bed was not clean, and disturbingly, there was someone else's vomit present. This was not only a revolting sight but also still wet and malodorous, which my son unfortunately discovered when he excitedly jumped onto the bed. The immediate aftermath was a scramble to contact hotel management, and what followed was equally unacceptable. It took over 24 hours for the hotel to respond adequately to this egregious hygiene failure. To add insult to injury, despite the horrific conditions we were forced to endure, management denied our request for a full refund. Their proposed solution was merely an offer of one additional night's stay and a negligible future discount, which does not even begin to compensate for the trauma and disgust caused by such a fundamental breach of cleanliness and guest safety. This experience was beyond disappointing; it was genuinely appalling. No guest should ever have to encounter such unsanitary conditions, let alone deal with such an unhelpful and dismissive response from hotel management. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay at the Spinnaker Hotel to reconsider.

Rooms are what you would expect in an older Ocean City Hotel. They are a little dated and could be a little cleaner but overall they are just fine for resting your head at night. I like the fact that there is the kitchen. The rooms are spacious. You have decent views of ocean and bay/city. Apparently they are Under New Management and the the one thing I don't like is this hotel now rents to under 21 so we were there during senior week and it was very disappointing the amount of kids that were running around causing a ruckus. I will hope that next summer they will go back to only renting to adults and families. That was one thing that I always loved about this hotel. It was very family friendly when you didn't have to worry about loud obnoxious teenagers.

There were some dirty dishes in the cabinet and the entry floor of the room was dirty upon arrival. Overall I would definitely come back. Nothing extreme. Also I would choose glass dishes over plastic because the dishes were stained as well. Or I as a customer will bring paper plates with my next stay. This hotel is close to the beach and board walk and for the price. I would definitely stay here again. It was 5 of us and space was perfect. 3 adults and 2 children. They have a full fridge and a stove with oven as well a microwave. The bath tub I’m in love with. Overall a beautiful place for small family and great value.

We love the Spinnaker. Its an affordable hotel in a great location. The rooms are clean and offer amenities that families on a budget will use. We've stayed here 3 times now and it is our go to in OCMD. The desk staff is wonderful and knowledgeable about activities and events. The onsite café is highly rated and while I haven't dined there personally, I would certainly give it a try.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Spinnaker, we were on the 5th floor with great views of the ocean, we could even see to the bay! Our room was directly behind the elevators and at first I wondered how much noise we would have, but I can honestly say that we did not hear the elevators one time in the 5 days we were there! The walls must be super thick! Room was clean and tidy, staff were super nice and we enjoyed the breakfast and lunch cafe - "Malia's". We will be back!

Stayed here for my birthday in October. Front desk was exceptional...very friendly and courteous. Room was a little dated but otherwise perfect! Steps from the boardwalk and beach which was great! Will most assuredly be back again!

The room wasn't the cleanest, it seemed as if they washed the floor with oil, but besides that it was a nice location right on the water and the people were very nice and helpful.

The room appeared fine at first glance. Had a musty smell but nothing crazy. My boyfriend and I stayed the night here and all seemed fine. However, a day later, we woke up to bites all over our bodies. Down our arms, back, legs and feet :/ I’m very disappointed since this place had such good stars and the beds appeared clean when we arrived.

Tbh, The Spinnaker exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a quick break from DC so found the Spinaker on my way to the beach. The staff was super sweet. Bless those ladies. We came during bike unfortunately but they ensured we knew it would be noisy and crowded. The room was large with a kitchenette. The AC and TV were modern which complemented the vintage hotel. Super close to the beach and boardwalk. Less then a minute walk. Honestly no issues besides the toilet not flushing but that was fixed within ten minutes. Oh and the lighting in the room could be better but decent I would definitely recommend. Probably one of the best Ocean city hotels I've stayed at this close to the boardwalk. Will definitely be back.

Such a nice, family oriented place. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The room isn't fancy, but it is practical and has all we need. Furthermore, it was very clean. We appreciated the larger fridge, toaster, coffee pot and microwave. Every room has a side view of the ocean from your own personal patio. The staff here is so nice! From Chris that does groundswork, to the ladies on the cleaning staff, and the super friendly people at the desk - everyone is so inviting! Please consider letting the cleaning staff wear shorts or capris like Chris wears shorts. We spent a lot of time out on the sundeck and the pool. So relaxing! I didn't know it was bike week, and was so pleasantly surprised by what great neighbors all the bikers and slingshot riders were. The onsite cafe has delicious breakfast! We are looking forward to returning next year!
