The Spinnaker receives generally positive reviews, particularly praising its convenient location near the boardwalk and beach, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms with kitchenettes. However, some recent guests have experienced cleanliness issues and minor maintenance problems. Overall, it's a solid option for a quick getaway.
Stayed here for my birthday in October. Front desk was exceptional...very friendly and courteous. Room was a little dated but otherwise perfect! Steps from the boardwalk and beach which was great! Will most assuredly be back again!
The room wasn't the cleanest, it seemed as if they washed the floor with oil, but besides that it was a nice location right on the water and the people were very nice and helpful.
The room appeared fine at first glance. Had a musty smell but nothing crazy. My boyfriend and I stayed the night here and all seemed fine. However, a day later, we woke up to bites all over our bodies. Down our arms, back, legs and feet :/ I’m very disappointed since this place had such good stars and the beds appeared clean when we arrived.
Tbh, The Spinnaker exceeded my expectations. I was looking for a quick break from DC so found the Spinaker on my way to the beach. The staff was super sweet. Bless those ladies. We came during bike unfortunately but they ensured we knew it would be noisy and crowded. The room was large with a kitchenette. The AC and TV were modern which complemented the vintage hotel. Super close to the beach and boardwalk. Less then a minute walk. Honestly no issues besides the toilet not flushing but that was fixed within ten minutes. Oh and the lighting in the room could be better but decent I would definitely recommend. Probably one of the best Ocean city hotels I've stayed at this close to the boardwalk. Will definitely be back.
Such a nice, family oriented place. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The room isn't fancy, but it is practical and has all we need. Furthermore, it was very clean. We appreciated the larger fridge, toaster, coffee pot and microwave. Every room has a side view of the ocean from your own personal patio. The staff here is so nice! From Chris that does groundswork, to the ladies on the cleaning staff, and the super friendly people at the desk - everyone is so inviting! Please consider letting the cleaning staff wear shorts or capris like Chris wears shorts. We spent a lot of time out on the sundeck and the pool. So relaxing! I didn't know it was bike week, and was so pleasantly surprised by what great neighbors all the bikers and slingshot riders were. The onsite cafe has delicious breakfast! We are looking forward to returning next year!
